Everyone at Ahrens knows that the environments in which they operate in, is fast paced. A great open honest session with these guys put a bounce in my step - never have I seen the trust amongst fellow peers, guys willing to put out on the table stories about their own health challenges.
As the Look Over the Gate - Save a Mate Roadshow's draw to a close we offer a huge thanks to our speakers Jeremy Forbes, Warren Davies and Dr Roma Aloisi. Working alongside them was an absolute pleasure. We have visited 6 towns - Tailem Bend, Loxton, Renmark, Waikerie, Blanchetown and Morgan, and got to meet and present to people who care about their families, and communities mind health. We feel incredibly honoured to able to speak to people in this way and hopefully help start vital conversations in the communities we visit. And supported by Country SA PHN Edwardstown Football Club, was proactive and on the front foot to bring 'mental health' out in the open amongst its players, coaches and key personnel. It has been a busy few days in Queensland visiting Ahrens Group sites of Goombungee, Withcott and Loganholme. How good is it that companies, like Ahrens Group, care about their staff's health both physical and mind. Tailem Bend, a great group of community members assembled in Tailem Bend to hear lived experience from a female who was effected by losing a brother early in life to Suicide. This powerful and insightful talk generated significant questions & answers amongst community members
